Flashing Video BIOS question

Hey guys, this is probably a stupid question, and I don't plan to do it anytime soon, but I gotta know for curiosity's sake. Here's the hypothecial situation. I have a PCI video card, say a Voodoo3 PCI, and an AGP card of some sort, and want to flash the agp card's bios. IF something goes godaweful wrong, power outage, typo, etc, can I boot from the PCI card, and still flash the agp card again to fix it? Or will it only try to flash the card that I've booted with? I'm sure someone's asked this before, or done it before, but it just now made me wonder. Thanks.

Yes, you can boot to the pci video card and flash the agp card. Or you can simply remember the exact keystrokes needed to flash the agp video card, and then if something goes wrong, flash working blind! I have had to do that several times.

A good thing to do is use a WinME boot disk and write on it "4 + ENTER for minimal boot" and then have a BIOS flash disk containing the various BIOS's with their corresponding batch files such as "Restore" which flashes the original. Or for idiot-proofness you could create a minimal boot disk which contains an autoexec.bat to run the restore.

P.S. normally I recommend flashing from the HDD but with the proliferation of NTFS it adds another wrinkle that most people prolly donut wanna deal wid
