Wonder if this one's going to flop too. Several companies tried to get in on the "new floppy" bandwagon - 200MB disks, 144MB disks, LS-120s, etc. Only ZIP seemed to prevail, mainly due to its earlier arrival. Would be nice to have something with greater capacity; even better if it would still connect to a floppy connector; guess that's not going to happen though.

Although floppys are convenient (i.e. just pop in & write/read/erase), CD-Rs and CD-RWs are here to stay (and kill floppies!). The only floppies still around are Zips and LS-120s.

It's got to flop because it's too little and too late since CD-RWs are almost good enough to completely replace all removable media.

If they can make this sucker aroudn $5 to $10 more than a regular floppy drive, it'll take off. But any more, and it's just not worth it...

Can't believe they are still pooring R&D into this dead dead media.

I thought the reason why LS-120 & etc., bombed is because they had transfer rates similar to their archaic 1.4M floppy drives, making a full capacity (120Meg, 144Meg, etc.) transfer take about 2½ hours to complete(?)
