Some will say this IS NOT the right time to talk gun control. But this is EXACTLY the right time to talk gun control.
Could this have been avoided? Probably not, BUT....
Listening to the audio it was apparent the shooter had weapon(s) of mass destruction on him.
The weapons that our military carry into battle.
THIS MUST STOP!!!!
Making ALL of these guns/weapons illegal and absolutely un-accessabe, un-obtainable, un-purchasable. Weapons only available to the hands of our military IN ACTION.....
Doing THIS would cut down on the carnage.
Not the violence per se, but on the carnage.
If a shooter only has a shotgun or basic hand gun at their disposal then when the shooting begins the victim(s) have more time to run away, hide, get away from the danger.
But when the shooter opens up with multiple shots per second as is the case with assault weapons, everyone within eye site will be gunned down. PERIOD!
No time for a victim to respond, no time to get out of the way, no time to run.
Until we address and BAN these assault weapons of mass destruction, until that day comes we will lose a lot of innocent children and adults meantime.
There is definitely a connection here. Dots easily connected.
And action that MUST take place from congress, but don't hold your breath.
Our NRA controlled congress and legislators are as guilty as the shooters themselves.
To take no action when action could have been taken, you become a co-conspirator.
This shooter should get life in prison, at least, and so should any congress man or woman that refuses to address and pass gun control to ban these assault weapons.
Toss them ALL into prison.
This is your America, ugly as it is.
weapon of mass destruction? cmon now....
a semi-auto AR-15 is going to fire just as fast as any semi-auto pistol - as fast as you can pull the trigger (barring bump stocks..).
