I'm pretty sure we have armed guards in every 1st world country. Can you name a country that does not have armed guards.

The first country that comes to mind is my own country. Nobody here besides police officers have guns. Neither do guards.

I live 300 meters from the border with another country. That is a much bigger country (82 million people). In that country, also only police officers have guns. Guards do not.

It happens that I work in yet another country. A third country. Also a bit smaller, like my own country. In that country, also only the police have guns. Guards do not. (It so happens that some quarters in that country are patrolled by the military. Those have guns too. Soldiers with guns patrolling the jewish quarter. Very weird. I had never seen someone with a machine-gun in real life).

So the first 3 countries that come to mind, only police officers have guns. Guards do not. Not when they work for private companies, and not when they work for the government. In those 3 countries, I am not scared to go to any area or any street, at any time of day or night. I've been to the US many times (about 18 months total). I've been told there are many places you shouldn't go to, for your own safety.

These are civilized countries. These are 1st world countries.

The US is nothing more than a shithole in the ground.
You just too dumb to realize it.

I was talking about NL, DE and BE.
I'm pretty sure guards in the UK don't have guns. Because not even all police officers carry guns in the UK.
In Scandinavian countries, guards also don't carry guns.
Do I need to research every 1st world country for you ?
In normal 1st world countries, guards in malls or guards in schools don't carry guns. Only in Murica.

(Of course there are exceptions. E.g. I read that in Sweden they recently gave guns to the guards of nuclear facilities. That makes sense, as those are really high-risk potential terrorist targets. But in general, guards don't need guns).

Easier, generally speaking. They are effective and they're one more avenue that people can go down that want to cause harm.

Remember though, it takes a person to pull that trigger,and the only way we can is by not giving those guns to the mentally deranged. Put veterans who are retired in those potions for school security, and I promise you those problems will disappear. They'll be more than happy to put down those who harm our kid's well-being.

Excuse me. Thanks for correcting me. Mental evaluating those veterans as you would any person who has possession of a firearm. Those veterans that pass that evaluation should be allowed to protect the kids at school. It's simple enough and would be smarter than no protection at all for those schools.

No one needs more than a 10 round magazine. This was 1 guy. Imagine if it was 2 or 3 people. People need to wake up real life is not like the movies. It's rare that one shot (if you even hit them) takes someone out. Thankfully these two ladies survived. BTW, he had a sawed-off shotgun which is illegal. Wait, that means he shouldn't have had that. Why didn't the law stop him?

Is that what you saw in that video? I saw two very stupid people who are lucky to be alive. The guy had already stolen the money and was leaving and they decided to pull out guns and shoot him. Which prompted him to come back and wrestle the gun out of one of their hands. Lucky for them he pistol whipped her instead of shooting her point blank.

There was a lot stupid there which is why I said thankfully they survived, but the point remains. He was one robber, shot several times and still was fighting. I think they actually locked him in the store. He didn't seem to care about the law against sawed-off shotguns either. People need to get more educated about guns (what they can and can't do) and quit believing the movies.

What? If it were more than 1 person, given how inept they were, the women would have both been dead, with or without a greater than 10 round magazine.
And he escaped and later went to the hospital and was captured. So, they risked their lives over what let's say 1000 dollars in the register?

Probably right, but to me it shows that they (and others) need more training/education on firearms not less. Rest assured criminals will always be among us and they don't care about the law. If they had been trained properly, he wouldn't have had a chance to hit the mom in the head.
