Just wondering how many computers you are all using to crunch for F@H? Specs, quantity and if you have alot, are they yours, friends, relatives, work, schools?

Well, I've got a 'few' of them listed in my sig. The ones not listed are my WinXP Sempron 3100 box (currently with only 256mb DDR333, once I get around to RMAing my 6800GT again I'll do some swaping to get it my gig of DDR400 again), a shuttle with a 3400+ venice/gig DDR400 running Ubuntu and another shuttle with a 2800+/gig DDR400 also under Ubuntu.

I've tried to confince my dad to let me set his Sempron 2800+ laptop for F@H, but he's paranoid it'll break it. He was also paranoid back when I got my first computer in 97 that it would burn the house down if I left it on over night.

Two laptops, both with T2300s, one with a Gig, the other has 512MB RAM. That's a total of four cores, though each core folds about as fast as a 2.8Ghz P4, and two of them are maybe 3/4 of that because I take it to classes with me and need the battery to last more than an hour.

Currently I'm crunching with an Athlon X2 4400+ (4GB RAM), an Athlon XP 1700+ (1GB), and a Celeron 766MHz (384MB, lol). The first one is my system, and the others belong to my parents. I don't crunch on my Powerbook G4 because it's too slow and gets incredibly hot.

I'm crunching on:

Intel Core Duo (both cores) / 2GB = 24x7
XP 2800+ / 512MB = probably like 4x7
P4 - 2.4 / 1.5 GB = probably like 8x7
P2 - 400 / 256MB = 24x7

Too be added soon:
P4 - 3.0 / 512MB = 4x7
XP 2500+ / 512MB = probably around 24x7

Hopefully a bunch of more core duos soon.

Currently I have:

Athlon 64 3200+ @ 2.4 ghz, 1 gig RAM (not on 24/7 though, and I'm using it most of the time)
Sempron 64 2800+ @ 2 ghz, 1 gig RAM (was on 24/7, but my stepmom complained about the power bill so it's not on very much now)

By next week I should have another Sempron 64 (2600+) set up to replace my Duron 950 after its motherboard died, just waiting on the RAM now.

Well, currently only my rig in sig is running F@H. (Dual Core 2.75ghz Opty)

But in a little bit I should have a 2.66ghz P4 Northwood running it as well as a 1.8ghz Athlon XP BOTH running 24/7 or whenever they (the computer) is on. My Opty rig doesn't run it 24/7 but the other two probably will.

I used to have a HP/Compaq laptop with a Sempron 2800+ and ran F@H 24/7 without issues.

Oh I know it'll run it without any sort of issues. Convincing my father of that is another thing. The laptop is his backup computer in case he manages to kill the one I built for him in his office. He's a lawyer by profession and struck out last year to start his own practice after the insurance company he worked for got bought by another one and started to manage it into the ground. He doesn't trust technology to begin with and so it's just difficult to get him to change his mind about something like that.

It just got cold enough to where I can crunch without heating up my room to unbearable levels.

x3800 OC'ed to 2.5Ghz

Right now I'm only running one core, otherwise the room gets too hot. When it gets colder I'll probably run both cores.

got one running right now:

core 2 e6600
1x 1gb ocz pc2-6400
asrock 775dual-vsta
bfgtech 6800gt OC w/ nv5

Running on both cores 24/7 here.

somewhat customized cooling on this guy. I put in a thermaltake sonic tower and put a 12cm yate loon in between the two fin "towers." It's running 32-33C at full load and it's surprisingly quiet with 3 of these yate loon fans running at full rpm.

soon will be adding another comp:

p4 prescott 3.2ghz w/ zalman cnps7700
2x 1gb ddr400
MSI 865PE
ATI 9800pro

Since enrollment in the past month I'm happy to have garnered over 3,600 points and completed 14 workunits for our team.

I'm glad they created the special drivers for my ATi X1900 XTX - A64 X2 4800+ [running 2 workunits at a time].

I tried to add the use of my HTPC which runs an All In Wonder X1900, but that didn't seem to accept the special F@H drivers, even though the special ATi Catalyst 6.10 driver worked fine.

Couldn't you be running 3 WUs at once? One one each core of the x2 and one on your GPU.

Currently the GPU client uses quite a bit of one CPU core. They are looking into how to get it to use less CPU.

I think that over in the F@H forum there is a thread about installing on an All In Wonder.
