maybe it was the acid reflux. Might wanna see your doctor about that because there is medication for this disease (yes it is a disease and there should be no reason why you have to put up with it any longer)

I find it curious that Desk has been asked repeatedly about his oral hygiene practices, and ignores the question.

LOL.
Call it aging.
I had the same issue. I didn't have cavities for years then some time in my mid 20s I went to the dentist and had tons of cavities and had to get 4 root canals. Ugh. Cost me over $10K total for all the problems. It was so bad my dentist was asking me to play golf with him because I became such a good patient.

Agree - but not about the crooks part.
Do you have any history with this guy? I had basically the same thing happen to me in the Air Force - basically healthy teeth until I saw an Air Force dentist who told me my mouth was a disaster and did a ton of work on me (badly, I've learned in retrospect). I talked to my family dentist once after that - had been going to him for years, and he was pissed!
He said they basically drilled & filled all my "incipeants" (sp?) - these are basically things that could turn into full blown cavities, but may not. The right approach is to watch them, and drill/fill if they turn into something.
So, the fact that you have this many after years of good health makes me wonder. Get another opinion, ask if they are incipiants, ask if it wouldn't be a good idea to watch things for awhile. It's your body, insist on a good discussion of the situation.

ohh man.. people with acid reflux usually lose all their teeth.
All the patients that I've seen with acid reflux have gotten a lot of teeth extracted at one time. Better get used to the idea of dentures my friend.

Braces caused cavieites in every single one of my teeth along the gumline, i had them from age 13 to age 17 when i pulled them off with pliars. My dentist told me at that time that i had "calcification" along the gumline which was irreversible damage that would eventually decay.
