Why is this a scam? That's a very early version of a calculator. I got one from my uncle. People used these while studying engineering 40 yrs ago.

Not a slide rule. It's a slide calculator. Looks like it has multiplication tables and the such. A slide rule actually takes some intelligence to use.

Slide Rule! That doesn't look anything like a slide rule! And don't knock slide rules. The guys that knew how to use them well (does not include me!) could knock out some pretty complex answers faster than you couyd type them into a calculator.

anyways, maybe it's a conversion tool of some sort, whatever, most people do not need this so do not bother getting freebies that someone might actually need and want!

The original poster was just making a joke about slide rules being the original PC. For those of us old enough to remember slide rules it was kind of funny.
