I have Noctua coolers (several diffrent) and they work very well.
I have also two Cooler Master Hyoer 212 and the difference between the CMH and Noctua is measurable (1-2ºC) but - IMHO - not worth the difference in price. YMMV.

I got the 212 evo installed tonight. 45°C at load. Much better. I didn't like it running over 50.

My C2Q's @61-62C atm running Asteroids@H (which I find runs hotter than any other DC project I've tried so far by ~4C), ambient's 23C.

Looks like my workunits took 3 days to complete, and now are failing to upload over at climatepredict.net . I Just posted in their forums to let me know. I've recycled all my network equipment, and PC. Hopefully they get it resolved soon and we can get credits. Assimiiator1, you aren't alone with CPU running hotter in asteroids@home. My FX8350 will run 2-4c hotter with that project.

ClimatePredict.net servers were having issues with their SAN, and are back online. Finally got credit for previous work, and I'm about another 22-27 hours away from getting credit for eight more workunits. We are barely holding on to the #10 spot. US Navy is #11, and gaining it appears along #9 Portugal@home widening the lead. I may have to fire up the old Core 2 Duo. We seemed to be doing well on Rosetta so I pulled out to move over here to try to keep #10 or gain more spots. I've been gaming at night also on my rig so it's been taking away from crunch time. :ninja:

I have tried many times to get tasks from Climatepredict.net, mostly just to get myself a milestone or two in the project, but it won't ever give me any work so Bradtech will just have to do my work on that project as well.

We've got a decent lead on Yafu so I am moving 1 rig to Numbersfields. Should be able to pick up some points there pretty quickly.

I killed yafu today on my one box that was running it. It kept hanging, and I don't check it often enough to catch it. Not sure what the issue is. Never had any problems with it until recently. It's back to Rosetta for now.

Moved up from 10th to 9th now in Climateprediction.net . I had eight 183 hour tasks that completed today at 5PM. Another 179-180 hours to go for the next eight.
