Yeah, Overclock has passed us now, not for lack of trying, though! I got a "lightly used" 280x off of fleabay yesterday, unboxed it, and the fans were so worn out they were literally falling apart, so I won't be adding any more capability to this sprint...

@uallas5 can I buy one of those 'retired' machines?
I have reported 21 completed tasks from my dual L5420 machine, 20 from my E3-1220 machine, 28 tasks from my E3-1270v3 machine, 8 tasks from my X3323 machine and 21 tasks from my E3-1230v3 machine

It is a convenient time for the "retirements", that's for sure. The medical imaging comp I used to work for was bought out by a national one in '13. Now all the radiologist reading stations they put in my area are coming off their warranties this year. So the T7600's are being replaced by T7810's. Except for the hard drive Corp doesn't care what happens to the hardware.

They have a bit of a celebration going on over there at OverClock, and rightly so. They better hope Mark Williams doesn't join the fray. (Mark, you joining the fray? )

EDIT: Whoa. I just looked up their Folding at Home output, 24 hr avg of 63 million! I think instead we better hope their folders don't join this fight.

My landline Internet's been down for hours. Fortunately I loaded up with two days of Einstein work, and I can tether my phone if I need to.

Overclock.net's daily F@H output seems to have dipped by 1/6 in coincidence with the E@H sprint.

(Whereas our own F@H graph got a dent first on Monday after my pump mishap , and another dent at the start of the sprint.)

I do that, (60+ million/day) all by myself on Collatz.

And; A warm, friendly hello from Overclock.net

Yeah, where's Mark and his pool of 1080's & 1070's? Just playing with you Mark. I really want to hit some milestones in MW and Einstein, but these contests are fun and it gets me into projects I normally wouldn't consider. On the GPU side I have a little umph, but on the CPU side I only have the i7 5820, FX-6300, and a Core2Duo in the mix. So, for the CPU projects I'll be found wanting.

Thanks for dropping by and saying hi! Sorta wish I didn't have Eagle poop on my shirt, but, well, these things happen.

Be careful flying up so high around here, the glint off our Gold medal from the last race might disorientate you!

PS: Dang it, Pokey's not in this race either! We need Pokey and Mark!

Is there a way to do a mass call out on the video card boards, NVidia and AMD both! Gamers jump in! We need more warp speed!

Edit: Sorry if that not possible, screaming at the GPUs doesn't work either. So a little Kentucky Bourbon with a few beers, I just look at the lights from the tower cases. Run Forrest Run!!

Edit: And Jamming on Dio!

No eagle poop! Just a nice wingover salute. And get some good polarized sun glasses for that glint. Don't want you seein' dark spots permanently now....

It's nice to see peeps have the same enthusiasm for DC that we have.... All in good fun now....

And we won't be caught by surprise again......

You guys Have a good one and Crunch On!!

It's nice to drop in on another teams forums every once in a while and see the same enthusiasm for crunching and science that I have (and our team). Thanks for pushing us, and I hope we pushed you guys just as hard!

Good Lord, what have I started.

Egliman, 4thKor, Finrod, I took that stick away from "Mr. poke me in the eye" over there on OCN and used it on team EVGA. Oddly enough, they are awake and aware of the Sprints too, but...their score sure doesn't show it.

Great competition, thanks for dropping by OCN!

w00t! Good fun

Back to business ... because of the big "pending WU" delay in this project, would it help to get enough WUs to last the whole race at the start? They would be older and have a better chance at being validated before the end. Or does everyone already do this and I missed it?

A solid second this time around in the sprint. Won't be moving up in the marathon, but will help solidify our current spot.

My production took a hit last night, tried to swap in an HD 7970 in place of the R9 Fury that is producing only mediocre results. Well, either the 7970 is busted or my Windows drivers/config is hosed, whatever the problem, in the end, EVERY task, even those just waiting to run, reported a computation error, and the server refused to give any more work. The lesson is an old one, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." The R9 Fury is back to work now, but many points were lost...

Not as bad here, but I added a 2nd 280X to my "Emergency Box", also known as my "Oh ****! We're losing!" box, and it required numerous restarts to get the 2nd card installed/recognized/crunching. Sadly I came home from a 12 hour day and found it had crashed and was running the same tasks for nearly 8 hours.

Ah well... I do have another box that I could try the 7970 in, but I promised the spousal unit that I'd help refinish the kitchen cabinets. Holy Hannah, it's going to take all weekend and then some! :|
