Yea, anyone try it? I rarely use my cell phone. Just kinda sits there in my car. Bellsouth's coverage in my apartment sucks so bad I can't even use the damn thing here. It's good everywhere else, EXCEPT in my apartment. Pager w/ online messaging would suit my needs.

I have it and it's great. Carefull for what little things you sign up for though. After 150 pages they start charging. One of the news things sent me 65 pages in one day. You can choose not to have anythig sent to your pager and everything will be fine.

badauss42: Yes, the monthly limit on incoming pages is 150 ... BUT if you access the voice mail over phone, that reduces the number of available minutes too.

They don't mention these anywhere on the page EXCEPT on the sign-on agreement (which 90% of the people don't read anyway) !

I had signed up for this a few months back, but when I came to know about this 'hidden' details, I was totally pissed off and cancelled my service and returned the pager.

Their customer service is also horrible, in my experience.

I bought my pager from them a while ago and whatever you do, do not buy the communicator I. That thing is about the size of SHAQ's hand. Anyway, the pager receives 1 min voicemails and 22 digit numeric pages without any ads. The ads only show up for alpha pages via the internet and newsupdates (maildrops). The maildrops are absolutely free (they don't count as pages because every pager gets these pages regardless of signing up for them), so there is no need in signing up for msn service (which is also free, but count as pages) unless you want individualized stock reports or weather reports for your region. Beware that they charge up the @$$ for exceeded pages.

Yes you can get e-mails to your pager, that's the point of it being alpha-numeric.

Actually, from what I understand, unless they changed it, you don't get e-mails straight to the pager. I talked to the CS agent and she said that they may offer it later. Right now you get a page with the subject line. not the body of the message.

hey guys, I'm kinda interested, for those that have this service, can you give me the dimensions of the pagers and possibly scan an image if it... showing size relitive to something, like a pencil...
kinkyboy702 says that cumunicator I is big... but I kinda like the style of CI rather than CII although CII have more functions...

what do you guys think? $106 total + tax thats quite a bit... I don't really know if I really need this that badly...

The cII is about the size of the motorola ultra express xtra flex, whereas the cI is about the size of the first motora express. My friend bought that one thinking it'd be about the same size because it does -- used to say "small and lightweight." Anyways, you can get the images of both pagers at http://www.totallyfreepaging.com/Products_Pages/Products.htm The cII (without clip) is roughly around 2.25" x 1.5" and about .6" thick. This is about as big as I would want a pager to be.
