Free Costco memberships in Houston

I love visiting Houston but I wouldn't want to live there. Terrible flood from a "Tropical Storm" Sheesh, what would have happened if it were a Hurricane? At least in Houston they know what Crawfish are for. In NC they think it's bait. Ever been to Floyd's Cajun Shack DealyDo?

Haven't been to Floyd's that I can recall.

We consider Crawfish bait also, and a delicacy. Doesn't matter if anything is biting or not.

Great--thread finally came up. There's a new one being built locally (probably won't open until year end, if not 2002). Do they all offer free memberships when they first open, and is there normally something in the local newspaper or do you just walk in and ask for one?

Houston's been through several hurricanes (I've been in about 4), but none that dumped the amount of rain this storm did. Areas such as Conroe received up to 26 inches of rain in under 1 day. This was no &quot;normal&quot; tropical storm.

But its good to see people making jokes about an event that only killed, oh, what, 17 people?

A Costco is opening up on 183 near duval rd exit... for any Austinites who are interested
There is a board there announcing the work in progress but no expected date of completion.
