First off, mods will likely locked this. The EMU requires a PC to run it, so you'll have to put that old 486 to use.

Beware of these fly-by-night dealers. Go to alt.dss.hack and read the FAQ's for newbies which have lists of known reputable dealers. Most of these people promising free dss are just out to steal your money or your smart cards.

I think it's more of a gray area really. Since there is no Canadian broadcasting on DTV, it clears the statutes in Canada. DTV struck back by making the broadcast footprint smaller to squeeze out Mexico and Canada. It still works fine along the borders or you need to get a bigger dish to improve reception. All of these DTV hacks started in Canada. They're the real pioneers!

this stuff isnt new - the H cards are hard to come buy - expect emu to get struck eventually - HU cards arent the way to go - i used to evaluate the H cards but then BS=blacksunday hit so now i pay - find servers on irc to ask info much better than websites - andy

It sounds as if you're plugging your own company. The &quot;DSS Top50&quot; is actually only 21 different sites. I've been involved for a few years now and I've never heard of any of these on the list. It smells of a scam. Here's a list from one of the FAQ's. Again - go to alt.dss.hack

Sorry to jump in your sh*t bro but I've heard too many stories about people who got ripped off from unscrupulous types. Here is the only place I would even consider BUYING a card from. Biker tests each one and charges a small escrow fee but the peace of mind is easily worth it.

This is REALLY not the place to discuss DSS hacking.. goto the newsgroups or PM/e-mail some of these folks..

Anyhow.. cheapest method is to get a cheap pc.. a burned out or not H card (cheap).. and make your own emulator and solder it onto the receiver.. or jigrig it..
