Free Dvd player

What's a good(and free) DvD player for Windows?
I can't see shelling out money for Power DvD or Win Dvd if I don't have to.
It needs to be maleware free too.

I just outfitted a new Lenovo T60 notebook, and was about to install PowerDVD 7 - but then I tried running a movie with WMP 11 - and it was AOK. No need to install anything.

No, Corky probably had a notebook preinstalled with something that puts the codec on there allowing you to watch DVD movies in WMP.

OP, try the open source Media Player Classic or if you prefer to use WMP, try a codec pack such as CCCP.
