Free GM Driving Event

Autoshowinmotion.com is having free driving events in selected cities. Drive GM vehicles around a stadium parking lot. Propaganda materials say Hummers, Vettes, Saabs are included.

It seems this is a big thing for car companies to do, the place that I work has a huge parking lot, and in the past 18 months we have had Mazda, Diamler-Chrysler and BMW hold Test Drive events there.

Not sure if everyone who goes gets one, but when I went to this last year I got a coupon a couple of months later for $1000 off a new GM vehicle (excluding Corvette and XLR).

I went to the same thing for Ford at the Kentucky speedway. We got to drive the new mustang on the racetrack. Got to take it through a salom and such. I had the 'official' in the car with me yelling to slow down!! I got to over 70 in second!!

BMW, Benz, Lexus, Volvo... etc etc...

out of all, THIS ONE IS THE WORST!!! Benz was the best. benz even coming up in a month and half already signed up for it.

those $1000 off coupons are thrown around like spares tires (bad analogy) they should give away a random car...my dad works for gm, we get cars at cost+2% and then visa gm points and we have a cousin who is a dealer

that's the point GM wont let you squeal tires... it was so retarded.. the ppl there didnt know what's going on.. etc.. it was largest, but it was also the worst.

benz on the other hand, had professional drivers at least and you can beat the crap out of the car as much as you want as long as you stay on "track".

bens is the best. last time I was there, I got to test drive SLKs and SLs nice shit.

Yeah I went to last year's M-B event at FedEx. It was tons of fun, with the SLKs and all. Nice cars...too bad I can't afford 'em.

My Dad went with me and sat in the back. When we were done he asked the 'official' if he need to clean his draws out. LOL!!

I went to Benz and this one last year. Both were about the same to me in that I got to go crazy with the cars without anny complaints. The GM one was a longer wait because it was a bigger and advertised event. Anyone post up info for the other driving events?
