Read the TERMS & CONDITIONS SUMMERY during the install. Lots of conditions and rules here but it might be worthwhile considering there are no banners. I'll save the download file and try it later if I get desperate. I'd be willing to bet they are better than Juno or Netzero though!

Rumour has it that this is not legit. Apparently, the .exe is a trojan designed to wreck havoc on your computer and steal your personal info.

I don't know if this company is legit or not but the .exe is not a trojan virus! I scanned it with the latest McAfee virus scan.

Thanx for the info! Another freebie is just what I needed. During the installation they didn't ask for personal info or credit card. I don't know what the timeout or useage limits are but I've been doing a download for the last 4 hours and haven't been kicked. I hope this service stays around for a while!

I have been using amexol for a few months now. Excellent service most of the time. Had a couple of times when the server was down. But on average I would recommend it.

In L.A., American Express OL is really fast during the day, and usually very slow at night. The e-mail has been a bit hinky for me. I can send single e-mails without any problem, but if I try to send a letter to more than one recipient, it chokes.

Instead of a banner ad, they have a little postage stamp icon that pops up ads every five or ten minutes. you can place anywhere on your desktop. If you call their 24/7 toll free service number, they'll tell you how to keep if from coming up, except when you're on line.

I downloaded it last night, of course assuming it was a virus, but it caused my system no harm, they asked for no information, and I was downloading at 7K and connected at 52,000k! I doubt they'll be around long but it's an awesome service for no banners!

More on this ISP. New rumour claims that this service is actually using illegal Earthlink accounts. Also the terms of service was taken from Netzero. There is a spot where "zeroport" is mentioned.

The consensus is this site is run by a bunch of hackers.

Yea, I did the Netzero hack for a few months and got caught. They terminated my service - end of story. Too bad, because I liked Netzero, even with the ad bar.

at&t is supposed to be having some promotion where you sign up for their long distance, and you can get the long distance and internet access included for like $7 a month, and the long distance is $0.07 a minute
I saw it on a commercial, but I'd imagine you could find it on their site if you looked hard enough

It's obviously linked to Earthlink. I checked for dial up numbers in my area and they're the same!!!! Wonder if there's a risk using this though..sounds too tempting..
