What is a juarez version?

He means illegal copies. They are very common and easy to get, but I really like the idea of free or cheap software that's compatible and can get the basic jobs done. I almost forgot about that 602 Suite.
These both seem to be pretty good to me but does anyone know of a free database program? Maybe I missed it, but I don't think these suites come with one.

all it needs really is some Wordperfect filters

You probably only want an Access clone (with a friendly GUI), but if that's not a prerequisite, then there are a number of free database packages. MySQL and PostgreSQL are the first two that come to mind. These databases are rather more 'hardcore' than Access. You'll likely interact with them through an html interface that you'd design yourself (or you could code a perl, C, whatever, client).

Should you go for Apache/PHP/MySQL setup, be sure to check out phpMyAdmin -- it provides a user friendly (HTML) interface to the backend of the database.
