VNC typically means having them run an exe file to allow you to connect.
RDP locks them out which is really annoying if you don't know whether there's a human being working on that PC at the moment.

Crossloop needs to be downloaded too but I have had a lot people install and use it and it was painless to use. A caveat tho might be that it requires 2 people to use it.
