Does anyone know if there is a easier way to get KMplayer video slider to become more like VLC player video slider so its easier to see and know where you are moving it? What I really wish VLC player and KMplayer had was a video slider thats as smooth and accurate as media center classic video slider is. It doesn't skip back or forward when going through a video at all.
I have a MyHD HDTV card and the software is very good but has a few quirks. I'd try KMPlayer except that I suppose it doesn't support what is for me the most important feature that MyHD's application has, being timeshifting. At first, the card didn't have it, but later versions of the software added support. It lets you turn on timeshifting at any time when watching live TV, meaning you can just hit pause (the spacebar) and freeze action. Come back and hit pause again and you resume. A key combo (or key on the IR remote) and you Rewind a configurable time decrement (e.g. 10 seconds, is what I typically keep it at). And, of course, it has FF. The worst of it is that dragging the slider is very iffy. It usually jumps pretty much where it wants to. It's a struggle to jump back 1.5 hours, forward and hour, etc., although with persistence, it's certainly doable, just problematic.
What I'm wondering as well, is audio utilities. I use Winamp 2.95, because I can use Trackmaker 1.2 to split MP3 files with it. However, it's got security vulnerabilities, although I rarely download MP3s, just make my own. I'm going to try Winamp 5.52, but wonder how to install it. There are many options.

Each of these have subcomponents. I don't know what to let it install.
I also want to install Mediamonkey, and it too wants to take over all my file associations, and I'm reluctant to do that. I downloaded it just to add tags to my MP3 files. If anyone can comment on this stuff, I'd be be grateful.
