I came home one night and my PC was on. I know I shut of it before I left.
I tried to power it off but it doesn't work. I hit the reset button nothing happen.
I have to unplug the power to get it to shut off.
I knew we had thunder storm that night. I don't know how the PC turn on by itself.

Now, when I turn the machine on it doesn't post. Nothing came on screen.
I shorted the bios to reset it and still nothing.

Is my mother board fried?

Follow the BIOS reset procedure exactly as it is stated in your owner's manual.
Unplug the PSU while doing the reset.

I shorted out the Bios and nothing happen. Power button and reset button don't work at all. I have to turn it on and off from the switch on Power supply.
I unplugged all the hard drive except the one with operating system. Pretty much leaving just one hard drive, swap the memory around. Still not working.
I'm running out of option except buying new motherboard at this point.

Your PC has become self aware. Run for your life!

It's possible it could be a PSU problem as well. Worth testing since a new one of those is cheaper than a new motherboard. If you bridge pins 13 and 14 I believe, it should start up. It it doesn't, the PSU is toast. It it does, then it's your mobo.

My roommate said the same thing. He's better at electrical part than I am. He's gonna measure the voltage for me when he gets home. I hope it's the PSU not the motherboard.

PSU is good.
I removed everything except the video card. Still no luck.
I guess the motherboard is really fried then.
