Hmm AMD really could use the whole intel onboard stuff against Intel, in a really big marketing thing, that could be sucessful and change the lgiht of mass retail PC's forever if intel would change it's ways and use ATI and Nvidia... bf1942, few systems will even play that game properly. no agp slot? hahahaa, your friend is an idiot. he may as well get a car with tires that cant be replaced. that way when he gets a flat tire, he has to get a whole new car.

That's like the lowest of all the geforce cards right? So is that how fast integrated intel graphics are these days? How fast is that compared to the GF2 GTS-V I'm using right now?

I remember I was at compmexico once and I was dicking around with an HP system that was playing UT2K3. It looked kind of ugly so I changed everything to max and res to 1024 and basically stalled the machine.

He'll learn just like I did when I bought my 1st and only pre-built system back in January, 1998. If he's an avid gamer he'll learn thru trial and error and from great forums like AnandTech and 3dxl. I bet he's having a ball, though, being his 1st computer. It's like a whole new world for him!
