oh your AA setting is pretty minimal. also, you can bump up your aniso to the max as this has very little affect on frame rates and doesn't tax the card much. everything else is the same as what i use except effects (low) and FOV (60). and my frame rates are around 45-55 for the most part.
Two body shots from a FAL at medium to close distance can take you down.
I'll try out the max Aniso setting, which appears to equate to a 4 in the settings.ini file. Thanks.
What res are you running at? At 1680x1050, fov=65 is a horizontal field of view of 90, quite a bit above the default, which off the top of my head I think is 65.
If you are running at 1920x1080, we're about the same.
you probably need to be using the perk that adds damage though.
I'd rather be able to kill and die in 2-3 shots in MW2 than having to expend an entire clip (even at point blank) and barely damage the enemy (meanwhile I get killed in 2-3 shots) in BC2.
Nope, perk not required
"The FAL is the strongest assault rifle with a damage range of 55-35, and as such, Stopping Power has a minimal effect. Shots will always kill in two hits at close and medium range, but three are required for a long range kill, regardless of the use of Stopping Power."

Either way people drop a lot faster in MW2. I have watched a few gameplay videos of BC2, so I know it takes a lot more ammo to take someone down.

In BC2, if I'm accurate enough, I can kill 2-3 people with an assault rifle on one magazine.
The key is burst fire, not sustained automatic fire. If you can't drop some one 2-3 bursts, then you're not accurate enough.
Exactly. I played MW2 heavily on the PS3 and switched to BC2 on PC.
What I like about BC2 is that, majority of the time, the player who contributes most to the team will score the most points. Players that don't complete objectives and run around whoring their favorite guns have a high kdr, but not necessarily the most points.
The guns feel EXTREMELY inaccurate compared to other games, especially MW2. But once you figure out how the burst fire works, your skill will take off.
In my opinion, the bullet flight time and drop make the game much more interesting. Going back to games like CSS where bullets transport instantly across the map feels archaic and cheap.
The learning curve in BC2 is greater, but the reward is much more satisfying to me.
never had a good back and forth conquest? or a rush mode go to almost no tickets at each stage? with the mcom going off just before tickets deplete or even worse, tickets deplete when its about to go off at the end?
friggin epic.
a rush round can last 30-40 minutes. same with conquest
whats the average time of TDM when its not full of sucky people? couple minutes?(its been a while since I played, but I remember rounds going fast)
i tried but BC2 just sucks imo.
