:frown; XP or Win2k?

Which do you like. I lost about 25FPS in Quake3 going to XP from Win2K Pro SP2

I didn't see any difference in performance in games between the two. If anything XP was a bit faster.

Something's wrong if you loose that many FPS. I personally like and recommend XP if you have a fast enough proc and enough ram to handle it.

u shouldn't be losing any frames - your settings must not be identical...

also, depending on your grahpics card (or maybe it's relevant to all grahpics chipsets), the 2k and xp drivers shoudl be the same...if not, use the same drivers...xp works fine w/ 2k drivers (and i assume vise-versa should work as well)
