I marvel at your ability to posit a "philosophical question", state a very well established hypothesis (look up heat death) as that of your own, state another completely conjectural hypothesis about virtual particles, somehow jump to "time is not constant" along with a string of random assertions and then come to your highly generic "philosophical question".
Some links would be nice if these are indeed valid theories (besides the heat death one).
Referring back to the OP, I suspect that once we uncover the Theory of Everything, either the constants as we know them will spring from it or there will be a mechanism in there for generating the constants such that the multiple universe theory is supported.
I apologize for the late reply. Very interesting, the heat death. I never heard of it, it just makes sense to me. Nothing is for free, not even the sun rising. Thank you for pointing out to me that such a theory exists. I never heard of it to be honest.
Sometimes things just seem obvious, although i cannot always prove it.
I do not want to boast, because i am sure i am not alone, but i have always assumed their existed something like ghost particles when reading something about Casimir force. Then i read about virtual particles. Then i read about Heisenberg's principle and it seemed obvious for me for everything is connected, but has a certain degree of effect. This degree never reaches zero in my opinion because everything in this universe is based on this universe. But before all this, i read about particles and the sub particles as in the standard model and it just sounds, looks, feels, tastes, smells, whatever wrong. Then i learned about the wave theories and it made sense. Then i learned about atom behaviour with this for me famous experiment : The quantum mirage.
http://www.almaden.ibm.com/almaden/media/mirage.html
Then i learned about the wave nature of particles and the slit experiment.
After that i started doing more reading and came to the conclusion there are no particles in the sense that there is no solid matter of any size. Then i started wondering how it became to be and so on. Interesting that famous persons like Louis_de_Broglie only believed in the wave nature of matter and that the hardness or solidness comes from that very same wave nature.

I learned that some theories are seemed to be based on what is seen in space while i cannot make out from reading about such research if certain variables are ideal. Therefore i automatically doubt it. The same is with particle detection. I can tell you now as i did before to other people, new particles will be found and will continue to be found. It is the same "particle" just slightly different. Maybe i am wrong, but then again i can make mistakes too.
But to answer your question: My brain similar when compared to the brains of other people is divided in sections that are constantly trying to outrace each other. I find this to put it mildly, most unpleasant. It blocks my way of being creative while respecting certain limits( like laws of nature) when doing a fully visual thought experiment with as much detail as possible. I can only do it when i am fully rested and in peace. It is a bit like day dreaming but with my eyes closed.
When listening a few days to these kinds of music but just classical music and opera or synthesizer music in general, i find it more easy to be constantly aware of as much as my environment as possible. The brain has this associative nature of content addressable memory. When i listen to this kind of music it becomes easy to be constantly aware that everything around me is build up from atoms and beyond. It is easier to think very deep and see it in my inner mind. This music seems to cleanse me from the burden of everyday life while interacting. In general, the more complex the music is, the more difficult it is for me to remember it fully from mind. It is similar as those moments where you hear an annoying song but it sticks in your head, while you always ask yourself : "Why can i not remember that nice song".
Well, with these genres of music you can. It is like having your own on board jukebox in your inner mind, and giving you inner peace, the more you try to reproduce the music as accurate as possible. I guess the different sections of my brain starts to work together, i do not know. I am not special, everybody can do it. And it actually stimulates your reward center the more accurate you can reproduce the music in your inner mind. Giving a very happy and pleasant feeling.
Why is music so important ? Music has an influence on the emotional part of the brain. Does not matter if you are male or female. Humans always have been singing or making music. Some do it to transfer their emotions or thoughts onto others. It is just another form of communication.

This is more trance which i like very much, especially the underground music that is never played on the radio :
When you alternate between the better trance and hard house and between classical music and ambient music, it really gives more peace.
Some trance :
Very good for a party where needs to be danced or just to mix with the ambient or modern "classic" music or even with classical music if you like...

This recording of Jupiter by nasa gives me so much peace...
It is not music but it sounds like when your at sun rising or during sunset in a forest and all birds sing their own song all together. Some say these are not recordings from nasa, i do not know. I find it pleasant to listen too.

Here are other recordings of nasa...

Enjoy...
Post Scriptum:
To be honest, I do loathe music like lady gaga, Britney Spears or Christina Aquilera(with the exception of the song hurt, she should make more music like that. It actually caused me to feel something when listening and like it very much) 50 cent to name a few examples. Empathy is a good way to judge music. On the radio similar music , every 20 minutes the same song. You can understand i never listen to most radio stations, because of the repulsive music. Hardly to find good music these days, it exist but is never played. Perhaps the better songs do not make enough money for the big bosses of music. But to come back to the music i listen too, it is for cooperative braincells.
