I only went as far as skinning ... threw the fur away and ate the meat.

As has been very well said by rahvin and others; I don't condone, like, get off on the torture of animals.

Honestly, it bothers me to see them skinned while still twitching.

That said, I have no problem humanely killing animals and when dead, skinning them. There's no pain or suffering there.

We are at the top of the food chain, period. You may not like it, but no matter how you punch the buttons on the Weenie Softie Pussilator 5000, humans are still at the top of the food chain.

I have hunted, helped skin (yeah...I needed help b/c I didn't know where to cut) a deer and watched the carcass get butchered. It was pretty educational, actually. Most of the meat was eaten by my buddies' family. I got about 10 pounds of Deer Jerky out it...awesome stuff.

AFAIC, there's three groups of people with this animal thing.

Those that oppose killing animals for any reason at all, not even if it means them starving.
Those that completely support killiing animals for food and clothing, but doing it humanely (that's me)
Those that don't care if it's still completely alive, they'll bite into it, eat it, skin it and screw it (that would be many Bubbas and the 3rd world peoples depicted in the video at the top of this thread)

That's my take and tough noogies if you don't like it.

From what I've jsut read, I get the impression that this vieo has motivated you to renew your lifetime membership to the NRA. Why?

Somehow this video gave you the impression that someone was tryign to tell you that hunting was wrong and such, and you want to stick it to them by staying in the NRA?
I'm sorry, but that just doesn;t make sense.

Having your own gun is your right under our system of government, and more power to you for having one.

That said, you went off on a tangent preaching the beauty of owning a weapon and the honor in being able to kill what you want humanely, yet barely touched the issue at hand.
Personally, I get annoyed when people choose to defend their cause so adamently (freedom to bear arms) while ignoring the core issue, as if some idiot will sneak in and ban guns when everyone isn;t watching.

That issue does not concern gun-control at all.

The issue concerns the cruel treatment of animals.

Did you skin animals alive?

The video answered that question.. Yes. I have no idea WHY they would skin them alive. It would have been much more settling if they skinned them dead but no..

I have the same stand point as you do, believe in killing animals humanely for food and clothing.. Though I don't feel as bad killing a cow because you can use a lot more parts..

That was fvcking disgusting. %The worst part about it was the animals were alive. It was kind of gross seeing an animal with no fur moving around.

You know, I think that was pretty fvcking sick do that to live animals. Jeezus, just slit the throat and be done with it. I have no problems at all once the animal is dead, but what purpose does it serve to skin an animal while it's alive?

In fact, if you were to eat the meat of that animal, it would be pretty bad since its adrenaline would have toughened up and spoiled it.
