Anyway, I think Crysis will beat the $hit out of most everything. And by the time it comes out, theres going to be more to choose from.

Right now, based on preliminary benchies from the 2900, and on DX9 games, I would say the GTX.

Get whichever card you desire and an SLI or Crossfire board depending on what you got. When the time comes and you're a little behind, stick in another one They'll be a lot cheaper when these games come out.

Neither the 2900 XT or Geforce 8800 Ultra are future proof because both could suck at DX10.

Picture it as this - both HD2900 and 8800GTX can run DX9 games without problems at max settings, correct?

So when will performance start to be REALLY needed? When DX10 comes... and by then, your friend that bought an HD2900 will be enjoying those games alot more than you with your 8800GTX

(Of course this is all speculating it IS faster lol)
