Fx380 vs gtx260 vs hd5770

Hi, I'm buying pc for 3D graphic design.

with my budget, i can buy the cheapest workstation GC, a Quadro FX380 (just 256MB)

or should i go for GTX260 896MB 448bit
or HD5770 which is even cheaper

I don't know much about graphic design cards ,but I do know that the gtx 460,gts 450,gtx 440 will be released in June. They might be more in your price range and be more usefull for graphic design.

Maybe get an old 8800GTS(640) and flash to a quadro card?

Unity 3D engine. adobe CS4

Neither one of those benefits from a workstation card as far as I'm aware. So a cheaper and faster gaming card would be a better choice.

This means deciding between the GTX 260 and the 5770. The 5770 is a smidge slower than the GTX 260, but it also draws less power (and generates less heat) along with being DX11-capable, so it's probably the better choice for your needs.
