FX5900 Flickering

Bought a Leadtek FX5900 Ultra last week, one of the first things that I noticed was that the card flickered pretty badly on bright backgrounds in games. Multiple games.
After also mentioning this on guru3D it seems that I am not the only one experiencing this problem with an FX5900 card regardless of vendor or type.

It's not a refresh rate thing, tried different drivers too. It looks like interference or the lamp in your monitor fading in and out rapidly.
Seems to be hardware alright. It is also intermittent, comes and goes.

If I however put my GF3 back in using the same drivers the flickering is gone.
Anyone else experiencing this here and maybe found a solution?

Just curious if this happens to LCD monitors connected digitally? I've been playing a few games on my 5900 and I haven't come across this problem.

420 watts PSU, plenty of juice.

21" Monitor 1280x1024 at 100hz
