Ok you all, this has gotten WAY OFF track, I will try to answer as many questions as I can about myself in this post other than you all fighting about it....
facts:
1.) I am in my late 30's
2.) I work for/at a Whitebox OEM Microsoft system builder company
3.) I do now have some stock in the company I work at.
4.) My official position is one of a few Chiefs and Engineer
5.) I have been in the system builder industry for over 18 years
6.) I really have the certs. listed, but don't think for a second that is that many as lots of people in this forum have MORE!
7.) I do have the basic A+ and such as well, I train other techs. in A+ and the MCSE (sometimes Basic Linux)
8.) I don't work for CRN, that was reported in error in some trade post once.
9.) I was only a guest on CRN at breakaway exchange and did a interview/speach on the "state of the industry"
10.) I can use better words, caps and such... you all are being way too serious
11.) I HAVE GOTTEN SPIFF before from companies for SELLING there products.
12.) I did work direct with AMD, ATI, Nvidia and BCM when we designed the (in CRN's view/eyes) the world's first AMD Athlon system (per AMD at the time as well), it was found by CRN to have set new records for CPU, 3D (ATI), HDD, and memory also the fastest CRN desktop in the world at the time, the system took 1st place for the year, we also shipped a Intel based system, it tied with compaq for 2nd and set a new record for 2D speed using Nvidia.
13.) My focus has been on highend desktops, highend servers (1 to 8 cpu's), digital PBX computer systems, everything Microsoft.
14.) We used to send a system done the line at a rate of 1 every 15 min. YES the post that said sysprep etc... and that MS direct is a norm. for system builders is right (he prob. is one too is my guess).
15.) Was the senior engineer working with Microsoft (not for) in the windows 2000 launch and devolpement (beta), we where in return trained directly be MS (made the MCSE a snap to update/pass).
16.) All my certs. I take the full course and never and never the update or fast track.
17.) I AM NOT A GRAPHICS CHIP ENGINEER, of course many reviewers are not as well, but I look to sites for trends and facts, sometimes misleading Information as well.
18.) Do I have friends at graphics compaies, used to (Diamondmm).
Look, again, this is NOT about me, like you all I am looking at reviews and NOT the reviewer except I myself own these cards: ATI 9800XT, 9800Pro, 9700Pro (retail ATI) and FX5950Ultra, FX5600ultra, Ti4600 (BFG), I found that the reviews I linked to posted some needed information that needs to be seen. Everyone right now is passing around the how good ATI and letting them slide, this is NOT a good ideal right now.
Here's my personal issues I have had (straight up):
5950 & 5600 ultra (BFG), feels fastest in everyday work, plays all my games great on a 19" LCD at 1280x1024. The ATI 9800XT often has liitle issues (example: Rise of Nations, limited to 1024x768 where as the 5950 lets me go higher - others won't play at all on the ATI 9800XT, like CC Zero hour, I know, I know, if I mess around rolling back drivers and such on the ATI, it might work, just don't want to mess around all the time - there is more but you get the point).
I also had issues where both my 9800Pro and 9800XT black screen on my LCD's with 3.7 & 3.8 cats (DVI)... however burning them out as some say, have yet to figure that one out? - don't leave your display on when its out of sync...
My 3 systems that all had the issues:
2 the same: Intel 875 Mainbaords, Mushkin 512x2 DDR, WD 36GB 10k, Samsung DVD/CDRW combo 52X, Sound blaster audigy ZS, intel csa 1000mbs.
1 amd 64 is same except: Asus MB, amd 3200 64 cpu.
I would hope this is enough info to stop this crazy word battle and get back to the point... If not post and I will try to answer more or whatever I can do...
I should note, that by posting what I use, I in no way directly or indirectly recommend or NOT recommend these manufacturers items.

You speak of facts when you don't have any to back up what your saying.
Im confused? Wait no no you are! Since you say I had no facts yet the facts of my theory where clearly listed?
1. All Lowercase letters
2. Bad spelling
3. His sentences are childlike
Good thing your not Sherlock Holmes eh? Checkmate conversation over....
All this proves is that he used lowercase letters, has bad spelling, and childlike sentences. Tell me how old he is. Not how old you "think" he is.
Why is the conversation over? Do you think you control conversations in here?
Kind of presumptuous.
I myself have noticed no 2D speed difference switching from my 9700 to my 5900. 3D yes, but not 2D. Image quality looks the same on both cards.
Whats the big deal anyway? This entire thread seems to be on a 13 year old level. "My 2D is better than your 2D" ::::: Places thumbs on each ear and wiggles fingers::::: It's all childish...
