The 6 speed MT is rated at 298 at the crank. Dyno'd, this car puts down 335 actual hp at the wheels. If you were to dyno a stock G35, it'd be a bit lower than 298hp.

yes, but how much lower? i mean i thought a 5.5 boost would garner more than just about 50 horsepower...

There's a stock G35.

Looks like he gained 100+ hp @ the wheels.

Remember though, one shouldn't really compare dyno numbers under different conditions (ambient air temps, humidity, etc) and/or different dynos and dyno calibrations. For example my car put down 237whp on a AWD Dyno Dynamics, but 279whp on a AWD Dynojet - and it's supposed to be making around 335 at the crank. Without having the cars on the same dyno on the same day (or under the same set of conditions at least), you can only get a very general idea of what gain/losses there are.

Does he do any drag racing at all? It would paint a better picture of just how much power he's packing if we knew what the car trapped in a 1/4mi.

I asked about the front bumper and the brakes...

Everthing cost $$$$$. I will probably put a Greddy front bumper to get more air flow in the near future. As for the big brake kit, I want to go with the Endless 14 inch rotors 8 psiton calipers front and 13 inch rotors 6 piston calipers rear. For now the Brembos will have to do.

The g35 has some nice work into it but personally i think he went about his build all wrong. I would have worked from the bottom up instead of slapping a turbo and getting a new front end. I would have beefed the bottom end, lowered the compression, beefier pistions, gaskets, a hotter cam, bigger injectors, full 3in exhaust to start out with off the top of my head. I just dont think it gives the car justice if you get a sweet custom front cluster, an aggressive front bumper, and have TT's without getting any of the supporting parts.

agressive front bumper? those are stock, notice the restricted airflow to the intercooler. personally i would have gotten those double small intercoolers they used on the 3000gt/stealth that 1 big intercooler seeing there are only 2 side openings to cool the intercooler instead of 1 large opening on normal cars.

The stock engine probably won't handle more than 8psi safely. Looks like your uncie is playing it safe at 5.5psi ?

Funny you say, as in my convos with him thus far, alot of his sentences end with 4 words:

"...good enough for now."

He's already said that he would replace internals, port/polish, replace front bumper, as well as go with the big brake kit. But, just because you have money, doesn't mean things don't cost anything anymore
