i agree the interior isnt the best. i test drove a 04 coupe 5at premium with performance wheel package the other day. i do like the seats however they are very supportive. the fake metallicness was just cheap though. i mean i love the car, everything about it, and i dont even think the dash looks bad. its just when you touch it it feels very cheap.

the one i was in had a 2 way power passenger seat, and a 8 way driver. i read for 2005, that the passenger is 4 way adjustable ... and all the metal is brushed aluminum. the drive was great though,... i'd have to say.

i dont have much reference for. the only other cars in its class i've been in are a g35 sedan sport which my friend drove (more body roll than coupe i'd say), a 2001 330i AT which was very good straight (it had i'd say even worse body roll and suspension than the sport g35 sedan) and a 325ci 2001 coupe sport package which i'd say handled more or less the same as the g35 coupe non sport i drove. i figure an 04 325ci coupe non sport costs what a g35 coupe is, and well its severly lacking in power. thats the main problem with it

a 325i, comparably equipped to a a g35 costs only about $1000 less granted its base msrp is like $3000 less. but since g35s come with leather, xenons, side and heat air bags, power everything etc, heated mirrors and seats, 6 disc cd changers (with mp3 playeback for2005 i might add), and a base 330 or 325 comes with normal lights, no side airbags, smaller wheels, single disc cd, vinyl seats and non power seats, non heated mirrors and basically are strippers. to upgrade to full leather seats alone on a bmw costs $1000 or more. not to mention the $400 for metallic paint. so you're cost basis is wrong, and so is the performance basis.

granted the 330ci is a great car. im just saying its not nearly as cheap , or better performing than you think

I'm not calling you a liar, but I don't believe anything you said about some Japanese car outperforming a a BMW. It's just not possible. In my mind, you may as well have said 2+2=5. Same difference.

thank you for your concern, but if i just wanted to drive fast i'd get a wrx. My complaint is that for a rather expensive car the interior leaves something to be desired compared to what i would say are its peers (TL [ok not really this one], BMW 3, A4, even the IS300 which doens't excalty have a great interior).

all those cars have a large glaring weakness compared to a g35 coupe.


for one thing most of them arent coupes.


i'd say the cons for the others are.

a4= if you get this, you need a 3.0 quattro and you still dont have quite the handling or the power. much much better interior, but you're at around 40k at this poing.

3 series. if you want this equipped with power seats and leather, xenon etc, you're in the 40k range also, especially if you want the performance package (puts it basically righ tthere with the g35coupe performance wise)

is300 (this is about equivalent to a 325i bmw in power. good car, costs less. but well it snot as fast obviously)

TL (very nice interior, touch nav, etc etc. bluetooth. front wheel drive, and doesnt drive nearly as well. also a little bit slower in straights, much worse in curves. if you like interior and gadgets this one is nice. roomy too , well about the same size as a g35 sedan)

well im not going to win that argument. you are beyond logic. this is like if i said , all blondes a prettier than any other girls no matter what. you couldnt change my opinion either, and i'd also be beyond logic.

Because it's not much fun with your sporty little car while wearing mittens, scarf, hat, coat, sweatshirt/sweater, boots etc. Or looking cool until the hypothermia overtakes you and you plow into a road sign on the side of the road and perish in a fireball.

On that note, not many sporty little pieces of crap up where there's real winter.
