I just got off the phone with The Nerds, my order placed last night is already packed and shipping. They have 57 in stock as of right now. Their guy said he's stepped up twice with cards he bought there.

I'm currently awaiting a callback from EVGA about this. not that I don't trust what thenerds.net rep said, I just prefer to get it straight from the horse's mouth when I'm looking at dropping $375 on something. I'll post here when I hear back.

Good deal! I think it's mainly ebay and buying from individuals where they don't honor a Step-UP.

I'm pumped! I sold my GTX last week of October. Got good coin for it, but since selling it, I've taken up smoking, drinking, and paying for porn.

I went from wishing I kept it, to walking up to the BB counter with a GT in my hands, to ordering two 3870's then cancelling the order, to this. In the end all I want is performance like I had with my GTX. I'm happy to report that I've kicked the bad habits. Why pay when there's Limewire.

The Witcher, Crysis, COD4, NFS Pro Street, and Quake Wars all sit ready to go.

Wow, that is almost exactly the emotional rollercoaster I have been through since given my father my 8800GTS (G80) last month. I feel lost without a high powered card... In fact, my uber rig is sitting collect dust while I run some crap shoot X2 3800+ with a 1950 Pro 512 MB. :-(

If they ship today, I am ALMOST tempted to call them to see if they can ship my order RED. From Florida to Minnesota, there is a 4 days UPS ground time, which will put it here Friday if they ship today... I spose I can wait for free shipping.

a post about the stock being "reserved at the mfgr for drop shipping" is a bit unnerving when making a near $400 expenditure.

Yea many smaller resellers drop ship certain items. I asked the guy and he said it's shipping from their warehouse. But it's worth waiting now. Someone may list them at $300. Hey, you never know.

Still, I can call on a paypal dispute or credit card dispute if they try to screw with my order.
Probably going to try and cancel my order and get it from somewhere else.

Who knows, you just might be one of the first people to get a real gts card. I just looked at the email dell sent me and it has the 17th as the new ship date when the person at dell customer service told me it was the 12th. Now I'm looking for an alternative source to get a card from. Just might get a gts and call it a day.

Well, eVGA emailed me back and said TheNerds is authorized so a step up should work no problem!

Now I just wish I could see if mine shipped, it still tells me to wait for tracking info and I'm too lazy to call them. Of course, given the distance (Miami - Seattle) it will be next Monday at the earliest that I will get the card.

oh, I must've missed that part. I just saw the "ships same day" thing and assumed. chalk it up to a hellish day of ordering PC parts and trying to keep at least half a mind on my finals, haha

I just checked and the nerd stock just jumped from 41 to 80. Shipments of the gts cards must be coming over much better than the gt did.

Shipped via Fedex, got the tracking number this morning. hey, if the package is in order, thenerds.net is fine in my book. Could've saved a few bucks by going newegg, but I didn't do too bad for what was essentially an impulse buy, haha.

Also, I think this comes with Crysis, yay!

I just cancelled my dell order and got an evga gts from newegg. Hopefully I'll have it before Friday. At the rate that dell was going it would've been next year at the earliest before I could hope to see those cards.

I just found out The Nerds are shipping these out of California. So that two day lead time I was expectiing is now five. To make matters worse, Fed Ex Ground sucks in my area. They use slack ass contract drivers that lie about attempted delivery times.

Despite the price games, Newegg remains the best source for reliable shipments and timely order status...

Same thing happened to me... It is shipping from City of Industry... The real question is, are these from their warehouse or as these direct shipments from EVGA via consignment? I honestly can care less... Since I am in Minnesota, both Florida and California have the same shipping times... Mine will be here Friday. FedEx... They are much better than UPS around where I live.

So you will not get yours until Monday? :-/ You must be a very sad panda... You could refuse shipment and order through NewEgg. Though I personally would not do that as I do not find that business practice ethical, there are circumstances where it might be legit.

It will be out for delivery on Friday. I bet you're right, shipping from EVGA. I'll sit tight, but will be calling the Fed Ex center manager on Friday. He can call the driver by cell. With a few years of sales, bugging people is not an an issue.

I have something to do till then. Just finished Vista 64 install on an Asus P5E x38, Q6600 G0 rig with 4gigs of 1066 Ballistix. Bumped to 3.2 @ 1.28v and all seems fine. Memtest and Orthos tonight. Never used Rivatuner for fan profiles so I'm gonna play around with that too.

That sticker, it's starting to grow on me. I bet it looks good in a lighted case.
