GA-P45-U3DP Slow POST

I recently built out a new PC for my son. However, it developed an issue shortly after building it where the POST sits for about 1-2minutes after detecting CPU (and before Memory count) before continuing to POST. After POST finishes the machine runs flawlessly.

I've tried going through BIOS settings. I've also loaded optimized defaults, as well as fail-safe defaults, with no improvements. I have not yet tried resetting CMOS via jumper and/or pulling battery, which may be the next on my list. Any thoughts?

Gigabyte GA-P45-U3DP (v1.6 FB bios)
Intel E7500
2x 1GB OCZ DDR2 Memory Modules
EVGA 7800GT

I have this board, and I have had this problem in the past.

I think it is trying to detect drives connected to your SATA ports. Try disabling the SATA ports that are empty. Unfortunately, the BIOS calls them IDE ports in some cases, so it's a bit confusing.

Sorry I can't be more specific; I haven't had this problem in a while.

I had the same problem when I had a DVD drive (corroded from a watercooling accident) hooked up to my EP45-UD3P. Do you have AHCI enabled or just Legacy IDE mode?
