Looks like I got in under the wire. Both codes worked at about 10:45 CDST so there is probably still 50 minutes left on this deal before one of the codes expires. No tax and free shipping make this a pretty sweet deal for what appears to be the best 17" LCD available right now. It listed for $700 in the TomsHardware review and I got it for 411.95

Here is an AnandTech review of the Hitachi CML 174 that uses the same 16 ms response screen at Anandtech.

If I read write these have 25mb response time. The planer 17" px171 (I think) has 16ms (12+4). Just thought I point that out

As far as i can tell, the NX, and V models have 16ms. (see specs above)

the VM model is 25ms according to the specs.

Reviews such as Tom's Harware also site this monitor at 16ms.

Does this thing really have a 16ms response time, or is that just monkeying with the numbers?

Note that the LCD1760NX model (the same monitor, but in white) lists the following specifications:

Response Time: 30 ms
Response Time: 30 ms (16 ms typical)

whereas the LCD1760NX-BK (the black model) lists the following specification:

Response Time: 16 ms

The NEC site lists both as have a response time of:

16ms response time - typical

Is this thing really capable of 62.5 frames per second?

just checked the other monitor in this thread, the 1760V - $383.51 shipped, $364.33 shipped w/ 5% e-mail coupon.

Hey is this hot for 400 shipped? I still read some color issues with the monitor. Anyone have it and can talk about it? Also, I was looking at this and the Dell Ultrasharp 1702fp. Anyone recommend either?

We use the 1702FP at work and I've played games on it. I would definitely say it's nice but not a gaming monitor. There's ghosting and it's just not good when there's lots of motion on the screen.

I looked at dell's website for the response time on the 1702 and they don't have it listed. (I'm guessing 25ms)

NEC's site has the 1760 listed as 16ms and should be accurate since it's built with the same screen as the Hitachi, the only diff between these 2 was that the NEC has a 450:1 contrast ratio compared to 400:1 used on Hitachi.

There is no love in this thread. I'm paying 456.95 for my monitor, because I only got one of the $45 coupons to work the other day. Now I find out that the 20% works, and even after tax, that's still a better deal than the one I got. All I can say is why?????:disgust:
