Gaming/general use keyboard and mouse

This is going to be my Christmas + birthday present. I don't need over the top keyboard or mouse.

Anything will be an upgrade from my dell stock keyboard and a laser mouse that I got from school.

I was leaning towards the Sidewinder x4 since I've heard great things about it.

For a mouse, I have no clue.
