Hey guys. Long time no see, but I always come back here for the best advise when it comes to up-to-date advancements and price point buying.

I'm helping out a friend with a gaming PC build. The build I got last time has lasted me for years now, so I'm not as current as I would like to be and I'd figure I'd pick the public brain, as it were.

Budget is roughly $1K. Other than that, I've been given no specifics. All we need to build is the box itself (including the case, which I would like something that has good wire management because I'm OCD about stuff like that); no worries about peripherals.

Other than that, it's free world building. They don't care about Intel vs AMD and probably wouldn't know the difference between an Nvidia or Radeon cards.

So, within that budget range, what would be your optimal build? I've been doing my own research and have a few ideas (AMD seems to be doing well from what I can tell recently with their 3600s or possibly even the 3700s), but I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Oh, also, don't worry about overclocking. I'm not going to subject them to worrying about that. lol. Thanks!

I don't live near a Microcenter, Louisssss. I was just going to order the parts online.

That looks pretty close to what I was thinking, Campy. I'm digging that case too. Looks like a great design. Thanks!
