I had always thought that Jude Law killed himself at the end, to in effect destroy the two halves of the supposed persona, leaving Vincent as the "real" and "true" remaining person, so that the fraud could never be found out. I mean, if that wasn't true, then why was Jude Laws' character "storing up" so many of the various bodily essences necessary to continue the deception, if that were in fact not true? He ended his own "failed" life, to give Vincent the freedom to live his successful dream un-encumbered.Originally posted by: TheOmegaCode
He did achieve his goal, despite the fact that the deck was stacked against him. However, we are to assume that he does die in space. Which is why Jude Law does what he does in the end.
Edit: I may have the characters confused here, Vincent = Ethan Hawke, Jerome = Jude Law, no? I hope that I didn't confuse Vincent's brother with the fellow selling his bodily fluids here. I'll have to watch it again, I guess.
