One of the few "real" sci-fi flicks out there that work without having to throw Lucas-grade SFX, hi-tech gadgetry and Riddick-like grand epic idiocy in our faces. I don't care much for the actors much though they do a solid job (Jude Law was a standout though, and wtf even Gore Vidal is in there). There are scenes of quiet poignancy which I won't forget e.g. the night swimming challenge, the eventual fates of the "real" and "fake" Jeromes. The storyline -- or rather, the spirit of it -- is what got me liking it.

great movie. when i first got into collecting dvd's, this movie was a top priority on my list. usually im not a fan of the whole sci-fi genre, but i loved this movie ever since i first watched it in high school. not to mention, the replay value on this movie is excellent also. even though i own the superbit dvd, i still find myself watching it when they show it on hbo (which they have been doing quite a bit lately). one of those movies that had a better video/dvd following after failing at the box office.

I watched in my HS freshman Bio class. It was an attempt to show us the possible outcome of genetic engineering and ethics. I liked the movie and I didn't have to scratch my glasses on the microscope eyepiece.

I think the cars were there to present a dichotomy between past and future, science fiction and reality. i could also really be stretching it.

The building featured in the movie is the Marin County Civic Center, near San Francisco. Frank Lloyd Wright designed it, I believe. Very cool to see it in the film after driving past it time and time again. Someday I'll actually go in there.

I saw it a LONG time ago when it was actually in the theaters... Don't really remember much of it but it was a good movie.

I'm from Marin County and have been there several times. The building looked MUCH cooler in the movie.
