Gears Of War PC ?'s

for an FPS how can anyone prefer the far inferior analog controllers to mouse and keyboard? How can you possibly argue that a 360 controller is superior to a mouse and keyboard for an FPS?

I've only played the 360 versions, but Gears of War series plays really well with the controller.

The game itself has alot of action game elements that takes advantage of a controller. Roadie run, dodging/rolling, getting in and out of cover, chainsaw, etc. I think these actions don't require the precision of a mouse control.

Are not most of those imports ? Ships to US-Mainland ?

Of course, I guess "if I ever find the damn game" I could use a 360 controller and still play it on the PC.

Best of both worlds ? Controller and more graphics options.

why is no one mentioning the horrific issues that the pc version had? Gears crashed numerous times and its not uncommon to lose all your saves. most of those issues were related to GFWL so maybe they have been fixed. still I was a nervous wreck when I played that game since after a crash that meant likely repeating a huge section of the game and worrying if it would crash in the same spot. grrr

also performance is completely random and can vary wildly from driver to driver. I know on some drivers DX10 was smoother than DX9 while on another driver it may stutter badly in DX10. I tried numerous config tweaking but again performance can really depend on the driver.

all that being said Gears was a pretty good game. I would certainly get it on the 360 though if I owned one since Gears 2 and 3 are 360 only anyway. btw I tried using the controller and found the kb/m WAY better for me.
