How do you know if the card is an ultra or not, considering ebay and pricewatch sellers don't always tell?

How can they all suck, when looking at Tom's charts, the GF FX 5600 Ultra FC (?) and 5700 and up are faster than the Ti4200? And then considering some of those (up to 5800) are about the same price as the Ti4200 aren't they? And they aren't the LE version.
Why would you say they all suck? BTW, I don't plan to get Doom3 or Far Cry this year since I have plenty I need to play first. The newest things I'll have for quite awhile are FS2004 and Call of Duty.
I see there's a 5950 ULTRA 'GT' also. I wish they'd just stick to numbers to make it easier.
They suck because every 5xxx card is outperformed (sometimes significantly) by its Radeon counterpart. But if you are anti-ATI then I guess they will be fine for you.
by 3-4 fps though. and a 9700pro goes for ~130 while a 5900xt still goes for ~175. I would take the 9700pro over the 5900xt if it had quality samsung chips.
Well if your pro-ATI maybe that's why you say all 5xxx's suck.Originally posted by: GeneralGrievous

No, I don't want a Radeon. I've experienced too many driver/compat. problems when I had one, and have seen many more online (still do).Originally posted by: Johnbear007
Exactly, the 5 series blows compared to the ATI competition, but if you are determined to go nvidia get a 5900. Dont get a 5200 or 5600 they REALLY suck

Can you show me a link of where you can get a 9700 Pro for $130? I've never seen one that low. I've seen refurb 9700 Pro's and refurb 5900XT's for about $135 to $140 at Newegg but that's it and it's rare. They have a few 9700 refurbs right now for about $150 and even an AIW for $153.
