Geforce 8600gt or 8600gts

Im getting my little brother a gpu
Will play all type of games
Is their a big difference between the 8600gt and gts?
Resolution of 1280x1024 and below
down to 1024x768
cpu is e2140

Neither. As 7900gt will give you equal performance. Low End DX10 is not good.

Agreed, or 1950xt, blows the 8600gts away with ease, and should come for 165$ or so.

They are pretty even, I would have to know the exact clock/memory speeds to be certain. Dunno how they are in energy usage/heat build up, so can't determine like that either ...
