After waiting in line for an hour, I got one...and it's great. Only playes CS with it so far though....but that was the first time I've played in 6 months since my old vid card went bad and I never got to replacing it.....that was a hard 6 months, considering before that I had been a cs addict for TWO YEARS....awww yes the beta 1 days

one of the bestbuys near me said they will get more tomorrow he said the truck is comming tonight and they will have some tomorrow i am gonna kick his ass if there are no left. i asked about the rebate he said the rebate will still work and well see what happens tomorrow.

What u all need to do is togo to the store days be4 the sale, and hid the item you want on some obscure shelves, that way, you can just go and pick 'em up during the sale without fighthing with others
you still have to wait 1.5 hours for the register tho'

I agree with 1 and 2, but NOT on the fact that you are saying Christians, Muslims, or the people on channel 3(whoever they are 'cause I don't know) are the ones bombing clinics or anything else. These people are exercising a first amendment right. What you and others are doing is stereotyping in the worst way just as the terrorists, abortion bombers, and religious fanatics all do.

Wasn't there supposed to be some kind of minimum stock on hand the day of the sale. I seem to recall it was to be 15. If I were in the first 30 or so people in line, I would be HOT if I didn't get one.

My GF3 Quest...

But I slipped a GF3 ti200 behind some overpriced speakers at my Local Besty buy on Monday or Tuesday Afternoon while I was there thinking I'd come back for it later. YA RIGHT! there were so many people out and about in that store and everyone elses BB I forgot the GF3 as I knew it be long gone. And then I saw all the dissapointed peoples posts after waiting hours to get a GF3 then there wasn't any left or worse wasn't any ever as the store did not recieve theirs in. And I had to take my 14 month old with me no way I was going to BB!

So I dicided that I'd go to Comp USA and PM the GF3. Out of stock OR took off shelves who knows?:disgust:

On to EB they had every Visiontek except the GF3 ti200!!!! :disgust:

to Walden or whatever it is called... nothing good at all!:disgust:

I was outta luck!:disgust:

Wait I'll try Circuit City for an outside chance. NO DICE!:disgust: just PNY cards:disgust:

Anyhow I went all over our 1 sq mile Shopping Area to PM the BB GF3's price and nobody had one! granted this is all before 11AM when the add runs out :disgust: I guess I am off to FS/FT forum. I Miss out on a buncha cards there from many Junior members looking to gouge fellow ATer's :disgust: I even had a guy willing to ship first! he sold to another member. :disgust:

Ok it is Saturday now and No GF3 forget It!!! I am gonna go study at the Library. It is closed for the holidays! :disgust: this has been one bad weekend so far!

I cannot study at the library I decided to go see what Saturday deals they had at Best Buy maybe a Radeon 8500 for $99 Ya RIGHT! So I get to BB and well I get the first spot by the front door. Hey my best luck all weekend!!

I go into BB (Yes Today Saturday @ 5pm) and look at the saturday Advertisement IT SUCKED! no good computer stuff! So I stroll back to the video cards past the poor fools buying E-machines and other pre-builts paying twice what we pay for our homebuilts. Finally I get there and sure 'nuff an empty spot above the $99 GF3 spot. Go Figure! I look again at the tag prices good through 11/24 (Saturday Today!) Wow I still can get in on the deal but no Videocard! So I look around seeing if anyone did what I did hiding one behind a GF3 ti500 or something. No dice. :frown:

Ok Ok I thought I'll say a lil prayer and If God wants me to have a GF3 then my one that I had stashed 4-5 days ago will still be there.

Praise Be to god! My GF3 was staring back at me behind a few big speaker boxes! My stashed GF3 was now in my possesion. it has stayed put while thousands of people walked by it never knowing it was there! even better they opened a new line and I checked out in 10min not the 3-5hours that people waited on Friday Morning to check out!

What's wrong w/that? The deal is OVER and it was quite a pain in the ass to get in on it. You're not going to find one for that price anywhere now, EXCEPT from those "b4st4rds." Bottom line is $150 is still a great price for a new card...

Am I the only one who finds this kind of behaviour inappropriate. Hiding the card so you can get the deal without having to pitch a tent at 4am -- OK, fine. But hiding the card and THEN not even being all that motivated to go back to pick it up, thus depriving one more poor schelp who DID pitch the tent at 4am of his card ... isn't that pretty much pointless insensitivity to others, for absolutely no good reason?

Best Black Friday entertainment value? Standing near the empty GF3 shelf space and quickly snatching one of the few remaining GF2 boxes (which look nearly identical) just as some geek comes fast walking up to the shelf, causing them to grab and dash with a huge grin on their face.

I got one of these Saturday and it was $150-$50 rebate . Unfortunately, after 3 hours of troubleshooting I've concluded the cards a dud. Will work in 2D but not in 3D. Finally popped my trusty Gainward GF2 Pro in the slot and everything works perfectly. I think I got one of Friday's returns. Bastards!
