GF4 Issues w/ 8KHA+

I have recently built a new PC w/ a 8KHA+ mobo in it. I made this decision before the news of the GF4's incompatability to FIT on this mobo. I haven't heard much else lately, but maybe some of you could give me some info.

Will all lines of GF4s [NOT] fit in a 8KHA+ mobo? I was hoping to purchase a Ti4200 when released, but I had forgotten about the incompatability issue.

If GF4s will never fit, i guess i'll have to purchase a GF3 to suffice my need then huh?

I think only the GF4 TI 4600 won't fit (maybe Visiontek) , but everything else works fine.(or seems to be)
I am also using this motherboard, and I have a Leadtek Geforce 4 Ti 4400 with it and everything works well.

Hrrmm...no Ti4400s on the list? Does that mean they haven't tested the Ti4400 models or they don't fit? :-x

I hope Ti4200s releasing later this month will fit fine.

I am using a PNY Ti4400 on an Epox 8KHA+ right now. Works great.

I just returned to Best Buy a PNY Ti4400 which did not work on my 8KHA+ (got no video output).

They don't have any Ti4400s on the list because they are physically identical to their bigger brothers. They just have a clocked down core and slower memory.

I'm sure they're not in the upper tier of quality boards, but "blows" is probably a little harsh. I doubt they're any better or worse than the 80 other reference board carsds we'll see in upcoming months.

LOL There are no more choices in video cards, so people have to try to comfort themselves about brand choices of the same product.

I've got news for you Big Chief. I just went from a Vision Tek GF3 to a Radeon 8500 to a PNY GF4, and at the 11X8X32 I run my 19" Sony at, I can't really tell much, if any difference.

Hmmm, those Radeons and Vision Teks, must suck/blow as well? And I just didn't "hear" it, I'm looking at it.

For that matter, I can afford multiple units of any vga made.* You can trust me when I say, "If it sucked, I wouldn't be using it"

The last guy that "debated" this with me came up with a link where they judged 16X12X32, and 18X14X32, and said MSI was bad. OK, but if you never run your monitor at those resolutions, who cares?


*Before you post "Well why aren't you using the Gainward PowerPack 4600 then?!" realize:
A. I game at 10X7X32, 4X aniso, don't like FSAA
B. You don't get to be able to afford things by throwing money away. (The $100 more would be wasted on a card that will be worth half that in the 4-6 months it will be till I buy a NV30 or R300)
C. I can't buy one of those local retail, take it home.
