Had this card maybe 2 weeks already. Not sure if this is a sound issue or an actual driver issue. But what is happening that my screen will turn black for maybe a second or two and I will get a message that my Video Driver has crashed and recovered. Everything seems fine after that but I no longer have any sound coming out of the monitor.
Now I have the HDMI cable running right from my Graphics card too my HP W2338h widescreen lcd and the speakers are built into that.
I also Have my card hooked up to my Samsung 52 Inch LCD tv that I use to watch TV programs and stuff off my computer. But usually that is shut off and only running 1 monitor IE the HP when Im playing around on the PC.
I can get sound out of my regular Mother board built in sound if I hook up Ear Phones to my system. It seems to be an HDMI issue and for some reason the Sound Driver in Nvidia is crashing.
System is
EVGA 01G-P3-1561-AR GeForce GTX 560 Ti FPB (Fermi) 1GB
G-skill Ripsaw series 8 Gig
GIGABYTE GA-Z68P-DS3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s ATX Intel Motherboard
I5 2500K (overclocked to 4.0 GHZ)
CoolMaster Hyper 512
Oh and if I reboot the PC everything will work again fine. And maybe in a few hours or even maybe a few days the driver will crash again. I can play eve for hours on end for a few days then it will crash radomly one day. Or I can be surfing the internet and it happens. No sound. Reboot all better until the next time it might or might not happen.
