The Giants would lose either way, as Josh said. Who gives a crap who they start? Worthless team that'd get spanked easily by the Pats.
The Eagles came *this* close to beating the Pats. The Giants beat the Eagles twice this year and are clearly a superior team. Baltimore almost beat the Pats as well. Anything can happen. Sure, the Pats are obviously a better team. Can they be beaten by the Giants? Certainly. Unlikely, but certainly possible.
The best there is, the best there ever was and the best there'll ever be:thumbsup:Originally posted by: chuckywang

The personal foul on 81 was WTF.

That one caught me off guard as well.
But Gumble mumbling 'keep your eye on toomer...keep your eye on toomer...keep your eye on toomer...keep your eye on toomer" for 20 secodns was funny, lol.
Yeah that was strange, I kept my eye on him and didn't see anything noteworthy. But the personal foul call on the Patriots on the same return was a bad call too, so it's all good.

The difference between a mediocre team and a good team is that a good team usually wins in the end. Who gives a crap that the Eagles and Baltimore almost beat the Pats? They're mediocre at best. I'd be surprised if the Giants make it past the first round. Sorry ass Eli Manwhore.

There was that. Which looked to me like the Pats guy just tripped over his own damn feet in the shuffle.
The first Moss TD i thought he pushed off.
The poke to Jacobs eye when the ref is in the picture..sure he may have not seen it but isnt it his job to be watching that stuff during a scuffle.
The flag they called early on Webster for illegal contact was BS too.

Hey, I just want to make this ONE post regarding this:
1. Most points in a season record, broken.
2. Highest TDs for a quarterback in a season record, broken.
3. Highest receiving TDs for a receiver in a season record, broken.
4. 16 - 0, perfect regular season record held for 35 years, broken.
All in a single game, to the GREATEST football team, cheers. Here's to 19 - 0 and another superbowl ring. :cheers;
Edit: credits to the Giants too, they played their best game this season.
I agree with all of the accounts except for the "GREATEST" tag. They have not earned that yet. You would feel pretty farkin stupid if they lost before winning the superbowl this year.

Bingo. How can you be called the greatest without a SB ring? Sure, they've won three already, but so have other teams. People are already starting to crown them, pathetic, but I will give credit where credit is due. 16-0 is a hefty accomplishment.

i agree. BUT even if they lose they are in the top 5 i would say.
Upon joining the Browns in 1946, he was switched to quarterback, where he would lead the team to the league championship game in each of his 10 seasons, winning on seven occasions.

Likely will be considered the greatest team of the free agency era, but IMHO I don't think they compare to the dynasties in the past. Besides the fact those teams had the luxury of keeping all of their pro bowl/HOF, they also flourished due to the cohesiveness that stability provided. The Pats will have to win the SB this year to cement their standing, anything short would be an epic failure.

Thanks to free agency we will never see any team dominate on a championship level for such an extended reign.

ThePresence - WTG Giants. So they lost, I don't care. Would've been really nice to take down the Pats, but they still played a hell of a game and have momentum going into the playoffs. Eli looked good for the most part, hope he can keep it up next week. Congrats to the Pats. They are truly a great team. GO GIANTS.
