Just purchased and installed a Gigabyte 7Nf-RZ motherboard and installed it on a Win98 (4.10.1998, no service packs) system. I now have a number of exclamation points in devman:
PCI system management bus (code 28)
Realtek AC97 Audio (code 2)
Primary IDE controller (code 10)
Secondary IDE controller (code 10)
Realtek Ethernet NIC (code 10)
The CD-ROM is detected by the BIOS, but doesn't show up in Exploder. Similarly, I've had no luck getting the onboard NIC working. Haven't even tried the audio.
Copied the NIC drivers over to a floppy, tried installing from there; Windows seems to find all the drivers it needs, but when I allow it to reboot, it's back to code 10.
Does the board require a service pack?
Suggestions?
