gigabyte GA7IXE and 145watt psu

Hello recently i decided to try and upgrade my pentium pro system to something a bit newer that i had lying around. That being a gigabyte GA-7XIE and an amd athlon 800 mhz tbird slot processor. Well anyways im trying to get it to run on the curent psu that is in my atx system case and i seem to be having a problem were it will get to the end of the post screen and right were its suposed to start to load the os it never does anything but sit there. The curent psu is an astec 145 watt atx psu.

Anyways here is my question. Do these voltages i got from going into the bios sound ok to you ?

Also if thats seems ok what else could be the problem what can i try besides what i have allready done. Reset the bios by jumper. Tryed diferent hard drive. Tryed different ide cable, tryed removing all non esential parts. Also has anyone ever goten this particular board or a board that is similar to this to run on a 145 watt psu?

hrm its not the power supply. Tryed using my 300 watt sparkle on it and got the same result and voltages.

I believe the vcore for your tbird is supposed to be 1.75v. You may try to bump it up to that then try to boot.

I'd be very skeptical of a 145W PS, even though you got the same results with the 300W. I thought the smallest AMD recommended was about 250W. You should probably stick with the Sparkle 300W.

aha i figured it out. I finaly got the idea well i got nothing to lose might as well grab the agp card out of this system and stick it in there to test it and vawla it works perfectly So for somereason the video card i have and had all along with that system isnt working with my new board. Not sure if it went bad when i removed it or its some setings in the bios, an icq conflict(although i think it would tell me), etc. Anyways my pci gfx card is an STB VELOCITY 3D PCI.

As for the whole psu deal. Ya I think i will gohead with geting a more powerfully psu soon anyways. I thinking of maybe an antec 400 watt. Then put it in this comp im on now and put the sparkle 300 watt thats curently in this into my linuxbox. It sure would be nice to have something a bit more quite in this comp too as it is in my room unlike my linuxbox. Kind of hard to sleep with all that racket or listen to music wich is why i have creative card hooked up to my stereo
