Gigabyte P35 DS3R

Has anyone read any good reviews of this board yet? I was going to get it over a P965 DS3-Pro for the chance of some upgradability when the 45nm chips come out. Will combine with an E4300 or one of the Pentium E's and will definately be overclocking. So also how well do these boards overclock with the lower CD2 chips?

On a totally different not how long have P35 based boards been on sale in the US? Here in New Zealand we have been able to buy them for about 2-3 weeks.

officially they aren't supposed to be released till tomorrow, but they've been sold for a while on some internet sites probably for at least a month. I've heard a mix of things, but the more positive ones say its a great overclocker and I've heard of people getting to 600. However some professional sites have said they could only OC to 350 due to some limitations with the early bios and that the Asus boards seem to OC better than the MSI Platinum and Gigabyte boards.

It will perform great once through a few bios revisions, just like any new board based on a new chipset and ram type...

The reason why I wanted to get this board over the P5K is its got raid and I will inevitably have at least 4 drives in a raid setup. It's only to be expected that there are varying reports of it with such a new board I guess. I'd say I'll just get it and see how it goes.

I read that even with the latest bios this board has problems with S3 Resume when overclocking.

What sort of problems? And in what sort of circumstances?

The exact problem I listed. On vr-zone forums they said it only does it when your overclocking.

So only when booting from sleep? Not exactly sure what s3 resume is. A newer bios would likely fix the problem, hopefully.
