GIMP for windows?

Is GIMP still the best open source alternative to Photoshop on the Windows platform? What are you using?

Depends on your needs. Fully featured, Gimp is probably best. Easy, and very featured, Paint.NET is best. Paint.NET isn't libre software, but is gratis.

Depends on what you need. GIMP is good for certain things like typesetting and brushwork but I like SAI for doing linework.

I am a big fan of Paint.net actually, Gimp isn't exactly a Windows feeling application whereas paint.net fits in a bit better. For Vector stuff I add in Inkscape, the combination is pretty decent.

I just go to Adobe's site and download CS2 for free.
