So what are your goals? I think it would be good to have your goal in a general thread and see how you progress towards that as the year progresses.

Mine are:
126Kg Snatch
155Kg Clean and Jerk
Keep bodyweight down to 84Kg, lean out a tiny bit more but to keep my weight down

5'10, 85kg

Current lifts:
116Kg Snatch, 9 failures at 120Kg in 2007
142Kg Clean and Jerk
152kg Front squat ATG
180Kg Back Squat ATG
122Kg Power Clean
77Kg Military Press

I'm trying to lose 10-15 lbs. Shouldn't be that hard, main problem was my diet (I literally ate Chipotle and Christmas food every day for a month), and that's fixed. That, and I've finally got into my 6-days-a-week workout routine. To make things even easier, my new dorm (which I'll be moving into next week) is located about 100 yards from the University gym.

I'm currently 5"10 188 lbs . It's not visible, and it's not bad by any means, but I still want to lose it.

In addition, I want to gain strength and endurance in general. No hard numbers for those though. My workout routine should cover it handily.

Goals:
Get down to 7-8% bodyfat
585lb Deadlift
495lb Squat
315lb Bench

Currently:
11% Bodyfat
500lb Deadlift
405lb Squat
285lb Bench

Once I stop cutting it shouldn't take too long to get my bench up to 315 so I could of set the goal higher, but that's my goal for now since I want 3 PPS. That's the reasoning for the 495 squat and 585lb deadlift goal as well.

Goals for 2008:
505lb Squat
315lb Bench Press
570lb Deadlift
210lb Press

Current stats:
480lb Squat
255lb Bench Press
545lb Deadlift
170lb Press

5'8" 198lbs

I'd like to exceed all of those "goal" numbers, but those represent mile markers that I intend to achieve come hell or high water. I have bigger numbers in mind, but I'm not quite ready to schedule them for 2008.

*Edited to reflect newly tested maxes.

Pretty much the same reasoning behind my squat goal too. What's your current squat, bench, and power clean PR's? Push harder for that high bench too If you power clean 200, you better bench 250 with me, bud!

Good goals, man. Definitely some solid stuff right there. If you hit those goals for 3x5, you're gonna be a beast!

i already hit my weight goal (210lbs) but plan on getting a lil bigger before i decide to lean up.

my goals are the following:

flat benchpress - 275lbs 5x5
shoulder db presses - 85lbs 3x8
leg sled machine - 450lbs 5x5
straight barbell curl - 135lbs 3x6

im not deadlifting or squatting now cause of a back injury.

currently i'm 5'11 212lbs. my current stats are as follows:

flat benchpress - 260lbs 5x5
shoulder db presses 80lb 8x, 85lbs 2x7
leg sled machine - 350lb 5x5
straight barbell curl 125lbs 3x6

im also hoping i'll keep most of my strength when i lean up.

I squat 230, Bench 190 and clean 165

The rate at which I'm moving right now (just got back into serious lifting a month ago after a year and a half) I'm going to need to adjust that bench goal! I also expect my squat to move quickly, I picked up a knee injury 4 years ago, but have been pain free for 2 years and I'm just starting to train again!

I keep a little record of what I'm doing, so if you're interested feel free to take a look!

Care to add "frighten women and children with my monstrous size and strength"?

No freaking joke. I'm imagining the looks people would give him as he kept adding the plates on... over, and over, and over.

I'm 5'10", 217 lbs., currently cutting fat. Just got back into exercising in October. I'm currently doing CrossFit as my main workout. I will most likely be adding a Starting Strength variation to my workout schedule this year. These are my goals:

400 lb. deadlift
300+ lb. squat (need to get my form dialed in)
175 lb. shoulder press
20 consecutive pull-ups
185 lb. body weight at 10% body fat

My main goal is to just get healthy and fit. I've never been overall fit in my entire life, so I want to build a good solid base of strength, cardio, and speed over the next 11 months, and get my body to a healthy weight. After I accomplish that, I will focus more on specific strength or sport-specific goals.

The 20reps on the pull ups will be really tough mate! Strict reps that is, not kipping reps like crossfitters.

Lots of solid goals here lads! Lets see who can get their goals

My only fitness goal is to run a sub-40 minute 10K race. I'm currently at around 45-46 minutes, but I'm training hard and think I should be able to do it.

I don't really watch how much weight I am lifting, so can't really say I have a specific goal for that, just to keep getting stronger overall, whatever that means.
