if you don't mind putting out a bit of extra money, then this would be better. As an added plus you can unlock the pipelines, (making it a 6800gt), and then overclock it a bit (making it a 6800 ultra).

Edit: now that I think about it, you can't make it an ultra without tons of heat, but you can still unlock the pipelines.

Anyone that thinks a 6800NU can become a 6800GT or 6800U is fooling themselves. Start at the missing 128MB of RAM and then move on to other things...

Nothing to worry about it, since it has better GPU , and also the memory GDDR3 rather being just plain DDR.

I have a 9800pro and it plays fine. Depending on the rest of your rig you might not even be able to fully utilize the better cards. If you can't afford it, the 9800pro is a great card and a HUGE leap from where you are now.

I'll take that in consideration, "didn't actually see his card, sorry about that ^_^"

I suggest not getting the 6600GT AGP. My card will not work with BF2. I have heard others complainting that their 6600GT will not work with game also. I would probably go with a 9800PRO or a 6800NU.

For that, you could wait a couple months and it'll fall in price a good deal. For now, I'd go w/ a 9800pro and then maybe an upgraded cooling system. Mine was cheap (under 20 bucks) and allows me to overclock past XT speeds. Great bang for the buck there. Here's the link to what I got:

What drivers are you using? Looking at your system in siggy, you should be able to play BF2 on medium to high settings at 1280x1024.

A 6600GT smokes the 9800 Pro in almost all situations and most certainly will in BF2. You really should atleast make an effort to give reasonably accurate advice to people asking for help.

Very good deal here, if ATI is your thing...
